On 22-26 of July 2019 Ukrainian law tutors and professors have participated in the Legal Innovation Summer School on the implementation of legal innovation courses in Ukrainian universities, organized by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the USAID, the OSCE, and Kyiv Legal Hackers in Bukovel, Ukraine.
Nestor Dubnevych, Co-Founder and COO of Legal Nodes, was among the school lecturers and has shared his experience in legal tech and blockchain with participants. During his panel, he has practically demonstrated how blockchain technology, timestamping and transaction recording work, using EOS blockchain and the MEET.ONE wallet, with whom we have recently announced collaboration.
Innovation-driven law professors have made several transactions using their newly-downloaded wallets and have checked the transaction status in the EOS blockchain explorer to try their new knowledge on practice.
In addition to that, 16 lucky participants that have been chosen out of 73 applications from 39 Ukrainian law schools were taught by Jonathan Askin, Professor at Brooklyn Law School, leading technology, telecommunications, entrepreneurial law and policy legal expert.
“Legal Nodes sees great potential in using blockchain technology to improve the way legal services are provided and consumed. And we are beyond excited to share our knowledge with the help of MEET.ONE”, says Nestor.
World-first Legal Innovation Summer School has concluded with a final pitch of model lecture courses about legal innovation and technology. We firmly believe that its adoption will inevitably lead to better access to justice all around the world and are grateful for being invited to share this moment with like-minded innovation enthusiasts.
