info
Despite the fact that for many 2020 will be strongly associated with the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown measures, it would be a mistake to forget all the good things that happened this year. Especially when the festive season approaches, and the spirit of celebration and hopes for the best are in the air.
At Legal Nodes, we believe that when one door closes , another one opens. 2020, in spite of all its obstacles, was full of enjoyable moments (remember those cosy Zoom calls?) and unforgettable accomplishments for our team.
Moreover, December is a truly special month for our team — today (Dec 17) is a second Legal Nodes anniversary. So while eating a birthday cake we are happy to share a quick overview through the most memorable moments of the passing year!
Our team:
1. Travelled to San Francisco as a part of the Ukrainian Delegation to participate in Startup Grind Global 2020.
This year Startup Grind gathered more than 8,000 global attendees and 300 exhibitors united by high ideals and groundbreaking solutions for their industries. A little earlier, Startup Grind Kyiv selected 15 startups from Ukraine (among which was Legal Nodes) to form the Ukrainian Delegation at the 2020 Global Conference in Silicon Valley. The Ukrainian Delegation was supported by the Ministry of digitalisation of Ukraine and USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine.
It was a great chance to meet with the global community of entrepreneurs and prominent VC funds, as well as enjoy the beauty of the Golden Gate Bridge, the noise of Pier 39 and the most delicious ramen ever. Not joking. Our BDO (and Chief Techno DJ Officer) and gourmet CTO absolutely loved it!
2. Secured a seed grant from the Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF)
The USF is a governmental fund started by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine aimed to support innovative Ukrainian companies. On April 28, 2020, Legal Nodes (represented by the co-founder, Nestor Dubnevych) scored the highest during the fifth Ukrainian Startup Fund pitching competition and was awarded a $50k Grant. So thankful for such recognition by the USF!
3. Introduced a new version of Legal Nodes
This summer we focused on product development and after many iterations introduced a new version of Legal Nodes — [legalnodes.org].
Our mission is to create a single place for companies to solve all their legal tasks globally and for lawyers to work on bigger projects.
Among new products introduced is the Dedicated Legal Counsel as-a-service. Businesses can delegate frequent legal tasks to a professional who acts as a single point of contact for all legal queries. Saves time and money spent on legal routine. You can read more about it here.
And we have so much more planned for 2021. Stay tuned!
4. Welcomed two new members to the Legal Nodes team
We are happy that the team of like-minded people not only stayed intact for a very turbulent year but also grew. This summer two new members became part of our growing team — Vika (Legal Nodes Blog Queen and graphic designer) and Bohdan (full-stack developer). Welcome aboard!
5. Conducted 14 events and published 41 articles
Lockdown is not a reason to stay bored at home, so the Legal Nodes team created opportunities to develop your business by visiting webinars and reading articles.

6. Launched our Telegram channel
At Legal Nodes Telegram channel every week we post articles related to the legal issues arising from the activity of tech companies and startups (partnership agreements, intellectual property rights, attracting investments, etc.). Also we share our own free manuals, checklists and document templates for startups. So do not miss a chance and subscribe now!
7. Legal Nodes CEO made it to the list of top 20 Ukrainian female founders in the IT and the winners of the European Women of Legal Tech Award 2020 (Entrepreneurship Category)
Legal Nodes CEO, Margarita Sivakova, made it to the list of top 20 female founders in the IT according to the Ukraine Innovation Awards 2020 and was listed among the winners of the European Women of Legal Tech Award 2020 in the Entrepreneurship Category (EWOLT 2020). Extremely proud of Margarita’s achievements and wish her to continue reaching the stars!
and much more!
We are thankful for all the opportunities and challenges brought by 2020, as well as for the huge support and recognition by our clients and partners. We restlessly continue developing the product, so do not forget to subscribe to our emails and follow us on social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) to keep up to date with our latest news.
